Rob ‘Rub’ Bagley came up with this rub back in 2004 and he has been using it ever since. It is the rub that helped him collect the most 1st place Rib wins in the United States over a 6-year period from 2004 – 2010 according to the now-retired National BBQ Rankings. This is the same rub he used on BBQ Pitmasters, and it has never stopped winning. This rub pairs great with pork, chicken, fish, and vegetables. It offers a balance of salty, sweet, and savoury notes, with a touch of heat and a light smoky finish. It produces an amazing rich mahogany bark and compliments Swamp Boys ‘Original’ BBQ sauce perfectly. Usage Tip: Don’t this rub too heavily. The balanced flavor and color this rub imparts on ribs is perfect. A medium layer of rub is all you need, apply it about an hour before your meat goes on.
