My son turned me onto this and I’ve sent it to 3 other family grillers. 5 stars from all. So get this!
A great rub. Unlike a lot of steak rubs, you don’t get a lot of saltiness with it. Instead, you get a nice savoury taste on your steak and it really gives it a good steakhouse flavour. Goes really great with bone in rib eyes cooked over lump charcoal at high heat. Going to give this stuff a shot next week on a brisket in a BBQ comp, I’m eager to see how it turns on out a large cut of meat. UPDATE – Tried to the rub on a competition brisket this past weekend, the end result was one of the best, if not the best, briskets I’ve ever cooked. I put a light dusting of Plowboys BBQ Bovine Bold on the brisket and then followed it up with the Big Poppa Smokers Double Secret Steak Rub. It was fantastic. If you want to cook a brisket, I highly recommend this rub.

Probably one of the best steak rubs I have ever used. We won’t use anything else on steak now because the kids won’t it eat if we don’t. We use this seasoning in all of our beef recipes, and even on baked potatoes. We have to make sure to buy 2 bottles at a time so we don’t run out.
I bought this product because I went to a steakhouse and this is the steak seasoning they use (or at least that’s what I found when I googled it). Maybe they used more seasonings outside of just this but the steak I had was AMAZING! I do use this on everything but it’s not as good as I remember when I had my steak at the steakhouse. It’s still a good seasoning. Has great flavour.
